WATCH OUT FOR MORE DANCE ON THE CRIMSON COAST

COMING SOON

Photo: Jeremiah Armstrong

Crimson Coast Dance Society's Body Talk Cru produced a remarkable event this past May that featured

So You Think You Can Dance contender, James Jones (Bboy Caution) and global hip hop star, Angela Miracle Gladue. Both from Alberta, and both accomplished in First Nations cultural dances as well, they are generous and talented.

Many people of all ages from the community took part in the 'teen' workshop as well as the 'everyone else' workshop, both of which explored First Nations cultural dances and hip hop!

Long lasting friendships have formed as well as great enthusiasm for next year's Body Talk Project! We are currently selecting the guest artists who will teach and perform. If you want to be involved, contact us: through this Facebook Group or at 250.716.3230.

Being a member of the Body Talk Cru is an earn while you learn program.

The Body Talk Cru is a young adult leadership group, mentored in event and program planning and administration, as well as peer leadership skills.

Cru members receive an honorarium for their contribution to our community while exploring career options in all aspects of the performing arts.

Cru members are rewarded with free passes to all of Crimson Coast Dance Society's events and workshops as appropriate. They also receive an honorarium at the end of the project.

Sign up today! 250.716.3230 or dance@crimsoncoast.org

"What Happened?!"

Brief Encounters Blog:

http://nanbriefencounters

.blogspot.com/

Having managed to survive for 58 years, I am currently being freaked out by Brief Encounters. 2 weeks is either too much time or not enough, I haven’t decided yet. Things definitely work better conceptually than in practice, which is why I’ve become a conceptual process artist (higher success rate) and stopped practising. I am hoping that the audience will enjoy watching me sit and think. I want them to know that even if I appear to be doing nothing I am struggling with deep and profound ideas and philosophies that if I was able to express them would leave them gaping with astonishment.

Think On!

Brief Encounters Artist
